Review:
That synopsis is brilliant. It's what originally had
me intrigued to know more about soulprinting and how unfair it is for one girl
to be condemned for something she didn't do. I asked myself, "how is this
going to work"? The whole concept is interesting and I was excited to see
how the author portrayed everything.
The first part of Soulprint was filled with action; like teeth-biting nail type action. Alina has the soul of a one of the most notorious women in history, June. Because of June's past, Alina suffers from twenty-four seven security, on island where she's kept "safe". Until the day that three brave souls help her to escape the island. But are their reasons for saving her completely honest? Why did they rescue her unless there was something in it for them?
After the initial escape, I found that each chapter dragged. The more it dragged, the more I wanted to stop reading. Eventually, I got the end, which was a tad bit better than the whole first 3/4 of the book. I did enjoy Alina as a heroine. She's brave yet still has a vulnerability that makes her more real and relatable.
The romance aspect of the story was sweet and not over the top. Cameron was a great romantic interest who I immediately liked upon meeting him. The other characters I think gave the story the extra push it needed but I still felt something was missing.
Overall, I think the book was okay. A little to slow for my taste but an okay read all the same.

Megan Miranda is the author
of FRACTURE, HYSTERIA, and VENGEANCE. She spends a great deal of time thinking
about the "why" and "how" of things, which leads her to get
