Review: Love Like The Movies by Victoria Van Tiem

Synopsis~~
In this irresistible romantic romp, movie fanatic Kensington Shaw is thrown into love—Hollywood-style—when her gorgeous ex presents a series of big screen challenges to win back her heart.

What girl wouldn’t want to experience the Pretty Woman shopping scene? It’s number two on the list. Or, try the lift from Dirty Dancing? It’s number five. One list, ten romantic movie moments, and a handful of shenanigans later, Kenzi has to wonder . . . should she marry the man her family loves, or risk everything for a love like the movies?

~My Review~
"You don't want to be in love. You want to be in love in a movie."

Love Like The Movies is the book every HOPELESS ROMANTIC should read. A story not only about falling in love and getting the guy in the end but about finding your true self even when it's not easy. I was rooting the whole time for our wonderful heroine.

"Some of the best romantic comedies are less about the movie boyfriend you swoon over, and more about the heroine you relate to."

Kensington, Kenzi for short, is on the brink of losing her job, when in walks the love of her life who left her high and dry seven years earlier. It's up to her to get Shane Bennett to sign with her agency, and the only way he"ll even agree to sign is if she lives 10 movie moments from 10 romantic comedies with
him. But it's not that easy because Kenzi is engaged to a man
that is completely perfect.

Bradley is the man who has not only Kenzi's heart but her family's as well. The family that thinks they always know what's best for Kenzi... Even though they really don't. Her family irked me. I kept wanting to grab Kenzie and strangle
her for not sticking up for herself. And if you really want to know, no, I was not a fan of Bradley.

I enjoyed being able to live the movie moments with Kenzi. She's a romantic movie junkie who lives and breathes all the classic romance movies we all know and love. My favorite movie moment involved a reenactment of the dinner scene from My Best Friend's Wedding. Which hello that's one if the most memorable scenes of that movie! I had tears in my eyes from smiling so hard.

As most romantic comedies, we have it all in Love Like The
Movies. Probably even more is than usual since we get to experience so many romantic movies.

Overall, I couldn't tell you how much I adored this book. You will too! It's so fun and romantic. Go get your copy now and see for yourself.

"The world doesn't always make sense, but in a good romantic comedy, I'm guaranteed a happily ever after."

5 stars
