REVIEW:
The Promise was a magical story full of twists at every turn and a fiery red head with a temper. Something very fishy is going on around New Salem Village and it's up to Cassie to figure out what that is. She can't help but think it had everything to do with why her sister died.

The beginning of the story was slow for me. Cassie wasn't my favorite character; I felt she was conceited yet at the same time insecure. I couldn't tell which. One minute she would be talking about how she could have any boy she wanted then the next minute she would be worried that the boy she liked would be more into her best friend instead. He took her best friend home one day and she proceeded to get mad at him for it? Yeah that was immature.

Cassie definitely grew on me. In her town, they believe in witchcraft, but she doesn't. She had made a promise to her sister not to join in on the coven in town. So ever since then, Cassie has remained loyal.

That is until Ethan shows up. I liked him. He was infuriating at times but in the end he was just doing what he was supposed to.

I love how the story intertwined The Salem Witch Trials in it. It was intriguing and mad end want to brush up on our history. Very interesting stuff.

All in all I give this story 3.5 stars. I liked it but I didn't love it. I do look forward to the next one because I feel like it was a great storyline. And the characters are growing on me!

Very romantic and thrilling!

About the Author
So who am I? Well, I'm the crazy girl with an imagination that never shuts up. I LOVE scary movies. My friends laugh at me when I scare myself watching them and tell me to stop watching them, but who doesn't love to get scared? I grew up in a small town nestled in the southern mountains of West Virginia where I spent days roaming around in the woods, climbing trees, and causing general mayhem. Nights I would stay up reading Nancy Drew by flashlight under the covers until my parents yelled at me to go to sleep.
I love books, I love writing books, and I love entertaining people with my silly stories.
